Does your Xiaomi Smartphone feel so heavy or slow? maybe you have activated the Second space feature but rarely used it? Or do you not even know how to use it? Instead of slowing down your phone and memory space, it's better to remove (delete) that Second space feature, when the time comes and when you really - really need a new space on your Xiaomi smartphone, you can re-activate the feature anytime.
As we know, the second feature space is one of the great features offered by Xiaomi smartphones in MIUI 8. This feature is included in the advanced features because generally, this feature is only available in high-end smartphones (on other smartphone brands).
The second space feature allows smartphone owners to have 2 different smartphones virtually in one smartphone physically. For some users, this feature is very useful and much needed, but for most users, the Second space feature is not that needed because one space is enough for daily usage.
How to Remove Second Space in Smartphone Xiaomi MIUI 8
It can be done from both the Second space and the First space. After disabling or deleting the second space in your Xiaomi smartphone, all data like files, images, video, applications, and everything in the Second space will be removed permanently.
During the removal process, there will be a choice to move data from the Second space to the First space, there is no harm if we perform a backup manually into the external memory or flash disk (OTG).
To deactivate or delete the second space feature follow the steps below.
Open >Settings >Second space >Delete Second space
Go to the settings page from the second space windows, then select Delete second space on the page. To enter from the second space feature you are on the main page of the second space that says Manage and may then select Delete Second space.
A pop-up warning will appear informing you that we will no longer be able to sign in or access the Second feature space and all the data available in the Second space will be permanently erased.
> Enter Your Second space Password
Enter the password used to log into the Second space.
>Next>Select the files you want to move to the First Space
Select any file type that wants to be moved from the Second space to the First Space (the moved files will be saved in different folders named "second space". Files that are not selected will be deleted permanently and can not be restored again after the Second space feature is disabled.
After selecting files to be moved the other files (unselected) will be removed after this step.
> Wait for the removal process to finish. Done!
After the removal process is completed, the Second feature space is no longer accessible and all files in the form of images, systems, or applications installed in the second space will be permanently deleted.
